Week of December 14 - December 18

Students in 3rd -8th grades will be taking Benchmark tests this week to get ready for the TAKS test.

Monday evening there will be a Winter Program showcasing our music classes. It begins at 6:30. Hope to see everyone there.

Friday is an early release day at 1:00. Hope everyone has an awesome winter break! See you next year! (In 2010)

We decorated our door for winter. Frosty loves to read. He suggests curling up with a good book over winter break! Frosty even suggested some great books you might want to pick up, or maybe ask Santa for!

December 7 - 12

What an exciting week!

Many of our students placed at the NTIL competition this past Friday. I'm so proud of all of the Tioga students who competed.

This Thursday the elementary students will be attending a play of "The Wizard of Oz." The middle school students will see the same play on Friday. I am so looking forward to seeing this presentation! The Denison High School students always impress us with their plays every year, and I'm sure this year will be no exception. "Just follow the yellow brick road...."

We got the Christmas tree put up in my classroom and we're ready for this Holiday Season! Now to get that shopping done!

Week of November 30 - December 4

My elementary students will be using the Herman Method to improve their decoding and cursive handwriting skills.

My middle school English class is working on Grammar rules and punctuating correctly. They are also writing essays.

Middle school reading should finish up Breaking Dawn next week. We are excited to finish the Twilight Saga.

SRA Corrective Reading is helping some of the readers improve their fluency.

Friday is our NTIL competition. Good luck to all of the students participating.
